Venice Carnival 2025

From February 14, the Venice Carnival, the most anticipated event of the year, returns this year celebrating 300 years since its birth. A special edition entitled “The Time of Casanova,” dedicated to the figure of  the Venetian Giacomo Casanova, famous for his adventurous life, free spirit and love of art and beauty.

19th International Architecture Exhibition

From May 10 to Nov. 23, curated by architect and engineer Carlo Ratti, the 19th. International Architecture Exhibition is titled “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.” Presented with President Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, the title emphasizes the integration of various disciplines by suggesting a range of innovative and sustainable solutions to today’s most pressing problems.

Venice International Film Festival

From August 27 to September 6, the Biennale Cinema 2025, now at its 82nd edition and directed by Alberto Barbera, returns to the Venice Lido. An event that each year hosts the most celebrated figures in the film world and aims to promote the dissemination of international cinema in all its forms.

Exhibition “”Maurizio Galimberti tra Polaroid/Ready Made e le lezioni americane di Italo Calvino”

Le Stanze della Fotografia  presents from April 10 to July 27 “Maurizio Galimberti between Polaroid/Ready Made and Italo Calvino’s American Lessons” curated by Denis Curti.
The exhibition, which is divided into six sections, features some of the most iconic polaroid mosaics, including: Johnny Depp, Barbara Bouchet and Angelica Houston in an itinerary that is divided into six sections: Upper Room, History, Sports, Portraits, Taylor Swift and Places.

Feast of the Redeemer 2025

On July 19 and 20, Venice hosts the Feast of the Redeemer: also known as the “Notte famosissima” of the Venetians, it is one of the most heartfelt festivities by the citizens who celebrate with this event the end of the plague epidemic that struck Venice between 1575 and 1577. An occasion to celebrate local traditions with festivities, fireworks and culinary specialties that attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Historical Regatta 2025

On September 7, the traditional Historical Regatta takes place as it does every year in Venice. It is one of the most enthralling events for Venetians who gather along the banks of the Grand Canal to admire the procession of typical 16th-century boats that evoke the glorious past of the famous Maritime Republic.

Exhibition “Matisse e la luce del Mediterraneo”

From September 29, 2024 to March 4, 2025, the Centro Culturale Candiani will host an exhibition dedicated to one of the exponents of the 20th century avant-garde, Henri Matisse. Light, color and drawing are the central elements of the exhibition, which features more than fifty works by the master along with the International Gallery of Modern Art’s valuable collections of graphic art.
